Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Itaguira FC's Teodoro Peres started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Kléber Campidelis didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Teodoro Peres went, in the 6th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. In the 9th minute Teodoro Peres shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kléber Campidelis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Raí Mendes in the 10th minute of play forced Pimental's goalkeeper Kléber Campidelis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cauan Mazza struck a weak shot in the 15th minute. Aníbal Paranaense didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pimental. A collision led to Pimental getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Luiz Guilherme Breckenfeld hit a great ball. Pimental's Kléber Campidelis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Teodoro Peres in the 46th minute of play. Raí Mendes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
Nilmar Donato took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 53rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Kléber Campidelis. Pimental's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. If Teodoro Peres had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Pimental's Leonel Dias got a free kick in the 72nd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Pimental's zone, Teodoro Peres stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kléber Campidelis came out of the goal and Teodoro Peres tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Teodoro Peres sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Raí Mendes came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Itaguira FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Raí Mendes couldn't finish the play. Raí Mendes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Teodoro Peres in the 95th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Kléber Campidelis saved Pimental from getting behind. Raí Mendes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The Itaguira FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Itaguira FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
