An unexpectedly hard shot by Claudinei Carvalho in the 9th minute of play forced Pimental's goalkeeper Kléber Campidelis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cléber Penha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Kléber Campidelis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Claudinei Carvalho succeeded in the game's 13th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-2. Kléber Campidelis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cléber Penha in the 17th minute of play. After 17 played minutes Pimental got a freekick which was hit by Amílton Recife. The audience was convinced that Claudinei Carvalho's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Kléber Campidelis was relentless in the 19th minute of the game. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Claudinei Carvalho couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Pimental's zone, Cléber Penha stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kléber Campidelis came out of the goal and Cléber Penha tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cléber Penha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Kléber Campidelis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cléber Penha succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-3 in the 66th playminute. Jonathan Carneiro charged in rather forcefully in the 70th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. After a rather tough play, Rivotris FC's Ronaldinho Moreno got a free kick in the 82nd minute. 85 minutes had been played when some careless play by Rivotris FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Amílton Negri was slow to take the kick. During this time Pimental's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Amílton Negri got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Eurico de Sena quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 88th match minute, Rivotris FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ronaldão Sampaio to maneuver through the defense. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Claudinei Carvalho during the 95th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 96 played minutes Rivotris FC got a freekick which was hit by Claudinei Carvalho.
