Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) FC Vikings's Luisão Dionísio started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After having played for 5 minutes, Anísio Perez managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pedrinha SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Anísio Perez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Cacá Rosa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 6th minute Hélder Costa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but João Carlos Cordeiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 13th minute Cacá Rosa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gilmar Bastos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Anísio Perez came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the Pedrinha SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Anísio Perez couldn't finish the play. If Cacá Rosa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Anísio Perez scored 0-1 in the 23rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gilmar Bastos, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a rather tough play, FC Vikings's Oséias Capixaba got a free kick in the 28th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as FC Vikings's Oséias Capixaba slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of João Carlos Cordeiro. That made the score 1-1 after 31 minutes of play. In the 33rd match minute, FC Vikings was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Oséias Capixaba to maneuver through the defense. When Fernando Sena fell near the penalty area in the 35th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Vikings's protests and gave Fernando Sena a yellow card for diving instead. In the 36th minute, Fernando Sena hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Luisão Dionísio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hélder Costa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 40th minute of the match, but João Carlos Cordeiro made a huge save. In the 43rd minute, Eriberto Senna hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. FC Vikings were awarded a corner in the 45th minute after Pedrinha SC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Doriva Batista took the corner. FC Vikings's Doriva Batista was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but João Carlos Cordeiro in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Anísio Perez to strike the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in FC Vikings's zone, Cacá Rosa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gilmar Bastos came out of the goal and Cacá Rosa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Hélder Costa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. João Carlos Cordeiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hélder Costa in the 58th minute of the match. Hélder Costa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. João Carlos Cordeiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hélder Costa might have been able to make a better finish in the 62nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over João Carlos Cordeiro. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Hélder Costa ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 64th minute Hélder Costa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but João Carlos Cordeiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cacá Rosa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gilmar Bastos read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 69th minute of play. 72 minutes into the match, Hélder Costa had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of João Carlos Cordeiro. Pedrinha SC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Hélder Costa was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anísio Perez in the 77th minute of play forced FC Vikings's goalkeeper Gilmar Bastos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Oséias Capixaba's late challenge caught a Pedrinha SC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Oséias Capixaba helped the player get up and apologised. After 77 played minutes FC Vikings got a freekick which was hit by Oséias Capixaba. If Hélder Costa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luisão Dionísio's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but João Carlos Cordeiro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 82nd minute of play. In the 85th minute, Luisão Dionísio made a precise shot to the right of João Carlos Cordeiro. Pedrinha SC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. João Carlos Cordeiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luisão Dionísio in the 89th minute of the match. Pedrinha SC's João Carlos Cordeiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luisão Dionísio in the 96th minute of play. FC Vikings's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
