In the 31st minute, Rogério Brodel got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 35 minutes, Davi Recife managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Palmeiras's supporters crossed their fingers, but Davi Recife was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Waldir Madureira who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 39thth minute tested the skills of Elias Fernandes when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After 39 minutes, Duda França mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Nato FC and the Palmeiras players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 39th match minute, Nato FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Duda França to maneuver through the defense.
