Pedrinho Souza tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 45 minutes into the match, MetalSlug Forever Team's Edgard Viana sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Pedrinho Souza narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Edgard Viana to strike the kick off in the second half. With his leg Luciano Lopes managed to avoid a goal in the 54thth minute, when FC Holfinburg's Ademir dos Santos fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Edgard Viana struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Pedrinho Souza didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for MetalSlug Forever Team. Júnior Silveira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Edgard Viana had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Marquinhos Pombal during the 76th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Ademir dos Santos's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Luciano Lopes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 90th minute of play. In the 91st minute of the match, Ademir dos Santos got a very nice opportunity to score, but Luciano Lopes was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
