In the 6th minute Inácio Carioca shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Noel Quadros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Espinosense F.C's zone, Tibúrcio Viana stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Noel Quadros came out of the goal and Tibúrcio Viana tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Noel Quadros showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Inácio Carioca in the 14th minute of the match. In the 36th minute, Tibúrcio Viana ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Noel Quadros was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Tibúrcio Viana sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 46thth minute of the game Tibúrcio Viana who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Espinosense F.C's Noel Quadros was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After the first half Tayassupeba were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The Tayassupeba fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. Inácio Carioca sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Valdo Guedes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lenílson de Lara received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Noel Quadros came out and tried to block the shot, but Lenílson de Lara slotted it home off the left post making it 0-4 in the 97th minute. The Espinosense F.C fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Tayassupeba were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
