Vítor Cosme made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Humberto Quaresma in the 23rd minute of play. 28 minutes into the match, Gilberto Corrêa had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ricardo Linares. Sumauna FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gilberto Corrêa was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Zé Pedro da Mata could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 33rd minute of the match, but Vítor Cosme made a huge save. In the 36th minute, Sumauna FC's Humberto Quaresma ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Vítor Cosme. Vítor Cosme yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. After 40 minutes, Zé Pedro da Mata made it 2-1 with a short kick to the right side. Codo's Vítor Cosme tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Zé Pedro da Mata received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Vítor Cosme tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Márcio Proença hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Humberto Quaresma made a kick off. After having played for 52 minutes, Cristian Vides managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Codo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristian Vides was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Humberto Quaresma fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vítor Cosme having to interfere. 61 minutes into the match, Codo's goal looked a bit too open when Zé Pedro da Mata came free, but Vítor Cosme reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Zé Pedro da Mata fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vítor Cosme having to interfere. Vítor Cosme took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Humberto Quaresma, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zé Pedro da Mata in the 72nd minute of play forced Codo's goalkeeper Vítor Cosme to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Gilberto Corrêa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vítor Cosme showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Humberto Quaresma, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. Zé Pedro da Mata sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Codo's Marquinhos Figueiredo got a free kick in the 94th minute. 95 minutes into the match, Codo's goal looked a bit too open when Zé Pedro da Mata came free, but Vítor Cosme reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Sumauna FC had won after a very even match.
