An unexpectedly hard shot by Duarte Dionísio in the 3rd minute of play forced Maribu's goalkeeper Luiz Gustavo Lara to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Maurício Moura in the 5thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Luiz Gustavo Lara, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Duarte Dionísio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 16thth minute of the game Samuca Leite who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ichu AD's Osvaldo Munhoz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Maurício Moura's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 17thth minute, Luiz Gustavo Lara skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. When Elano Varela fell near the penalty area in the 22nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Maribu's protests and gave Elano Varela a yellow card for diving instead. 22 minutes into the game, one of Maribu:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave Ichu AD a penalty, 23 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Maurício Moura, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Maribu's Luiz Gustavo Lara. 1-0. Maurício Moura received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Luiz Gustavo Lara came out and tried to block the shot, but Maurício Moura slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 26th minute. In the 28th minute, Mané Castro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 29 minutes, Duda Freitas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ichu AD's supporters crossed their fingers, but Duda Freitas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Maurício Mouras short, quick shot in the 32ndth minute got Luiz Gustavo Lara to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Dadá Teles recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Maurício Moura got free with Luiz Gustavo Lara in the 38th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a defensive mix-up in Maribu's zone, Aloísio Cavalcante stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luiz Gustavo Lara came out of the goal and Aloísio Cavalcante tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 48 minutes into the match, Maribu's goalkeeper Luiz Gustavo Lara had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Maurício Moura. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

After having played for 61 minutes, Maurício Moura managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ichu AD's supporters crossed their fingers, but Maurício Moura was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Ichu AD's Maurício Moura in the 63rd minute got a chance for a shot 63rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Maribu's goalie prevented a goal. Aloísio Cavalcante struck a weak shot in the 64th minute. Luiz Gustavo Lara didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ichu AD. Ichu AD's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Samuca Leite was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. In the 73rd minute, Duarte Dionísio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 77th minute Maurício Moura shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luiz Gustavo Lara saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Duda Freitas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Duarte Dionísio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 82 minutes, Maurício Moura made it 4-1 with a short kick to the right side. Maribu's Luiz Gustavo Lara tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 85thth minute of the game Maurício Moura who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Maribu's Luiz Gustavo Lara was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience was convinced that Maurício Moura's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Luiz Gustavo Lara was relentless in the 87th minute of the game. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Erasmo Santana managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ichu AD's supporters rose to their feet, but Erasmo Santana was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Luiz Gustavo Lara breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 90 minutes into the match, Maribu's goal looked a bit too open when Maurício Moura came free, but Luiz Gustavo Lara reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Duarte Dionísio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 93rdth minute of the game Maurício Moura who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Maribu's Luiz Gustavo Lara was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Maurício Moura in the 96th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Luiz Gustavo Lara prevented the ball from getting in the gole.
