In the 23rd minute, Haroldo Pitta ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Evaristo Azevedo was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. After having played for 29 minutes, Gonçalo Paiva managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cosmus's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gonçalo Paiva was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Cosmus getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Gonçalo Paiva hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Gonçalo Paiva managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cosmus's supporters rose to their feet, but Gonçalo Paiva was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hélder Freitas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Osmar Toscano was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 38 minutes had been played. In the 40thth minute of the game Pedro Paulo Quintal who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cosmus's Evaristo Azevedo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Marcinho Romero kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. Marco Jacinto kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Haroldo Pitta to make the kick off. Gonçalo Paiva kicked well hit freekick during the 50th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 76th minute, Gonçalo Paiva managed to get in a good position for a shot.
