If Gonçalo Paiva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 2nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When João Pedro Trigo fell near the penalty area in the 10th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Toco Preto EC's protests and gave João Pedro Trigo a yellow card for diving instead. Gonçalo Paiva recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 11th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Carlos Alberto Lima came out of the goal in the 12th minute to try and stop a shot by Cosmus's Amadeu Araújo. But to his dismay, Amadeu Araújo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. The supporters of Cosmus booed when Toco Preto EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. João Pedro Trigo didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Silas Fantini during the 17th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Silas Fantini kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. In the 20th minute Cosmus were awarded a corner. Dino de Toledo went to the cornerflag to take it. Cosmus's Dino de Toledo was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Carlos Alberto Lima in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Davi Braga during the 25th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Davi Braga kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. After having played for 26 minutes, Gonçalo Paiva managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cosmus's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gonçalo Paiva was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Amadeu Araújo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlos Alberto Lima having to interfere. After 34 minutes, Gonçalo Paiva made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. Toco Preto EC's Carlos Alberto Lima tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 40th match minute, Toco Preto EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Baltazar Pena to maneuver through the defense. If Amadeu Araújo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Amadeu Araújo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Evaristo Azevedo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Baltazar Pena in the 51st minute of play. Gonçalo Paivas short, quick shot in the 53rdth minute got Carlos Alberto Lima to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Deivid Mendes struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Evaristo Azevedo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Toco Preto EC. In the 58th match minute, Toco Preto EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Guga Guerra to maneuver through the defense. Carlos Alberto Lima made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gonçalo Paiva in the 63rd minute. Carlos Alberto Lima made a fantastic save in the 64th minute, when Gonçalo Paiva sent off a good shot on target. After 65 played minutes Toco Preto EC got a freekick which was hit by Marco Gomes. After a rather tough play, Toco Preto EC's Deivid Mendes got a free kick in the 69th minute. 71 minutes into the match, Toco Preto EC's goalkeeper Carlos Alberto Lima had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gonçalo Paiva. The supporters of Cosmus booed when Toco Preto EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Baltazar Pena didn't get a good kick on the ball. Deivid Mendes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Evaristo Azevedo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Osmar Toscano kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. Deivid Mendes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Evaristo Azevedo having to interfere. A collision led to Toco Preto EC getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Zé Roberto de Azevedo hit a great ball. Cosmus's Amadeu Araújo got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cosmus's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
