Hélder Freitas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Reynaldo Velasco, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. In the 14th minute of the match, Edmílson de Queiroz tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Celsinho Quintal saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Mário Peres spun around in front of the goal 16 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Pipipa SC's goal. Pipipa SC's Hélder Freitas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Allan Duarte in the 17th minute of play. The supporters of Kojaqueira booed when Pipipa SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edmílson de Queiroz didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 22ndth minute of the game Sílvio Luiz Ferraz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Pipipa SC's Hélder Freitas was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 23 played minutes Pipipa SC got a freekick which was hit by Pedro Augusto Rosa. In the 25th minute, Sílvio Luiz Ferraz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Kojaqueira's Celsinho Quintal proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 42nd minute of the match, managed to save Kojaqueira from getting a goal against them. Allan Duarte fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hélder Freitas having to interfere. Hélder Freitas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rogério Saraiva in the 47th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Pipipa SC's Edmílson de Queiroz got a free kick in the 47th minute. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Hélder Freitas made a fantastic save in the 52nd minute, when Sílvio Luiz Ferraz sent off a good shot on target. Kojaqueira's Celsinho Quintal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Haroldo Pitta in the 54th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Kojaqueira's Reynaldo Velasco got a free kick in the 55th minute. 57 minutes into the match, Kojaqueira's goal looked a bit too open when Edmílson de Queiroz came free, but Celsinho Quintal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Pipipa SC's zone, Luiz Paulo Rodrigues stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hélder Freitas came out of the goal and Luiz Paulo Rodrigues tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Kojaqueira's Valdemar Nascimento got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Allan Duarte in the 66th minute of play forced Pipipa SC's goalkeeper Hélder Freitas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 71 minutes, Luiz Paulo Rodrigues managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kojaqueira's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luiz Paulo Rodrigues was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Hélder Freitas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Allan Duarte in the 72nd minute of the match. Allan Duarte's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hélder Freitas read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 74th minute of play. In the 80th minute, Sílvio Luiz Ferraz made a precise shot to the right of Hélder Freitas. Pipipa SC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Celsinho Quintal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Haroldo Pitta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Reynaldo Velasco managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kojaqueira's supporters rose to their feet, but Reynaldo Velasco was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hélder Freitas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Through an outstanding action, after 89 minutes, Hélder Freitas successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. An unexpected shot in the 93rd minute by Valdemar Nascimento got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. The attack was good, but when Sílvio Luiz Ferraz in the 97th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal.
