The referee ignored Kojaqueira's protests and gave Cássio da Silva a yellow card for diving instead. Sílvio Luiz Ferraz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Evaristo Azevedo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Sílvio Luiz Ferraz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Allan Duarte's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Evaristo Azevedo was relentless in the 12th minute of the game. 13 minutes into the match, Sílvio Luiz Ferraz notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Cosmus's Evaristo Azevedo. Evaristo Azevedo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Evaristo Azevedo made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Sílvio Luiz Ferraz sent off a good shot on target. In the 19th minute, Allan Duarte reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Evaristo Azevedo. The goal made the score 2-0. Allan Duarte could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Evaristo Azevedo made a huge save. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Sílvio Luiz Ferraz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kojaqueira's supporters rose to their feet, but Sílvio Luiz Ferraz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Evaristo Azevedo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 28th minute Reynaldo Velasco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Evaristo Azevedo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Evaristo Azevedo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Reynaldo Velasco's shot from short distance in the 30th minute. Nelsinho Palmeira's late challenge caught a Kojaqueira's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nelsinho Palmeira helped the player get up and apologised. After 34 played minutes Cosmus got a freekick which was hit by Nelsinho Palmeira. After a rather tough play, Cosmus's Dino de Toledo got a free kick in the 44th minute. In the 46th minute, Gonçalo Paiva left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Cosmus fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Allan Duarte made a kick off. In the 53rd minute, Allan Duarte got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Valdemar Nascimento came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the Kojaqueira fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Valdemar Nascimento couldn't finish the play. 78 minutes into the match, Gonçalo Paiva notched a goal, 4-2, to the right of Kojaqueira's Celsinho Quintal. Celsinho Quintal was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Nelsinho Palmeira took the ball and in the 81 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Celsinho Quintal. Celsinho Quintal dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-3. Evaristo Azevedo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sílvio Luiz Ferraz's shot from short distance in the 86th minute. 88 minutes into the match, Kojaqueira's goalkeeper Celsinho Quintal had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gonçalo Paiva. Cosmus's Amadeu Araújo got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Celsinho Quintal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcelo Baptista, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Amadeu Araújo's late challenge caught a Kojaqueira's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Amadeu Araújo helped the player get up and apologised. Amadeu Araújo kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. Kojaqueira's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
