In the 7th minute, José Augusto Félix got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 8 minutes into the match, Oswaldo Fernandez had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of José Carlos Negri. Vasantes's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Oswaldo Fernandez was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. José Carlos Negri showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from José Augusto Félix in the 14th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Felipe Senna in the 16th minute of play forced OUSADIA F.C.'s goalkeeper Elias da Costa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dário Santana in the 19th minute of play forced Vasantes's goalkeeper José Carlos Negri to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rômulo Faustino hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. José Carlos Negri showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ramiro de Souza, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. 23 minutes into the game, Dário Santana cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. José Carlos Negri was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 33 minutes into the match, Vasantes's goal looked a bit too open when Ramiro de Souza came free, but José Carlos Negri reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 36th minute Egídio Teles shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José Carlos Negri saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 37th minute, Simão Gerber left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Vasantes fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Walmir Sousa in the 43rd minute of play forced Vasantes's goalkeeper José Carlos Negri to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 45 minutes into the game, OUSADIA F.C.'s José Augusto Félix nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. José Carlos Negri made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-4.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ramiro de Souza made a kick off. Vasantes's José Carlos Negri played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ramiro de Souza in the 52nd minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ramiro de Souza in the 54th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg José Carlos Negri saved Vasantes from getting behind. When Sandrinho de Amorim fell near the penalty area in the 61st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Vasantes's protests and gave Sandrinho de Amorim a yellow card for diving instead. Sandrinho de Amorim kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. José Carlos Negri made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ramiro de Souza in the 64th minute. When the match clock showed 68 minutes, the score became 1-5 when Ramiro de Souza sped through Vasantes's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of José Carlos Negri. Vasantes's José Carlos Negri proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 77th minute of the match, managed to save Vasantes from getting a goal against them. José Carlos Negri showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from José Augusto Félix in the 79th minute of the match. José Carlos Negri made an important save on a dangerous shot by Egídio Teles in the 81st minute. After 83 minutes, Felipe Senna made it 2-6 with a short kick to the right side. OUSADIA F.C.'s Elias da Costa tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Ramiro de Souza received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. José Carlos Negri came out and tried to block the shot, but Ramiro de Souza slotted it home off the left post making it 2-8 in the 93rd minute. OUSADIA F.C.'s players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
