In a very dangerous position, a player in Bubu fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 18th minute. Penalty! The goalkeeper, Luís Eduardo Velasco, was totally fooled by Camelo's Genílson Linhares, who 19 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Duarte Veiga struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. Moisés Antunes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bubu. With a little luck, Bubu's Luís Eduardo Velasco got control of the ball when Genílson Linhares tried to sneak it across the goal line. After having played for 35 minutes, Adriano Botelho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Camelo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Adriano Botelho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Luís Eduardo Velasco was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Adriano Botelho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luís Eduardo Velasco having to interfere. Moisés Antunes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Geovânio Quirino in the 47th minute of the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Adriano Botelho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Luís Eduardo Velasco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luís Eduardo Velasco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roberto Moraes in the 53rd minute of play. In the 55th minute, Adriano Botelho ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Luís Eduardo Velasco was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. 58 minutes into the match, Bubu's goal looked a bit too open when Adriano Botelho came free, but Luís Eduardo Velasco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Bubu booed when Camelo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Serginho Nogueira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Camelo's Moisés Antunes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Duarte Veiga in the 63rd minute of play. Roberto Moraes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Betinho Trancoso in the 69th minute of play forced Camelo's goalkeeper Moisés Antunes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 70 minutes, Serginho Nogueira mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Camelo and the Bubu players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Camelo getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Serginho Nogueira hit a great ball. Duarte Veiga struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. When Roberto Moraes, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 75 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Luís Eduardo Velasco was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. In the 78th minute William Leão shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Moisés Antunes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luís Eduardo Velasco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roberto Moraes in the 82nd minute of play. Benedito Donato hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. After having played for 91 minutes, Geovânio Quirino managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bubu's supporters crossed their fingers, but Geovânio Quirino was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 95 minutes Camelo's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Tiago Gabriel Andrade who took care of the corner kick. For all the effort they put into the match, the Bubu players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Camelo.
