The audience thought a goal was coming when Felipe Senna got free with Moisés Antunes in the 11th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. José Carlos Negri showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wilian Romero in the 13th minute of the match. When Wilian Romero fell near the penalty area in the 15th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Camelo's protests and gave Wilian Romero a yellow card for diving instead. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Simão Gerber was the one to do the kick off. In the 58thth minute of the game Simão Gerber who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Camelo's Moisés Antunes was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Moisés Antunes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rômulo Faustino in the 75th minute of the match. 78 minutes into the match, Vasantes's goalkeeper José Carlos Negri had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Wanderson da Cunha. After a defensive mix-up in Camelo's zone, Luís Fabiano de Queiroz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Moisés Antunes came out of the goal and Luís Fabiano de Queiroz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Moisés Antunes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Felipe Senna in the 94th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Adriano Botelho got free with José Carlos Negri in the 96th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Vasantes's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
