Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Aramina FC's Romeu Dionísio started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Aramina FC's goalkeeper Luiz Fernando Pitta, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Cristiano Barbosa struck a weak shot in the 7th minute. Luís Fabiano Moreno didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Aramina FC. Baltazar Martins kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. After 14 minutes of play, Aramina FC's Cristiano Barbosa made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Luís Fabiano Moreno was left in no man's land by his defense there! João Carlos Quintal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Luiz Fernando Pitta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luís Fabiano Moreno showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristiano Barbosa, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. After a rather tough play, Macaubal's Reynaldo Cruz got a free kick in the 31st minute. When Aramina FC's Romeu Dionísio in the 34th minute got a chance for a shot 34th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Luís Fabiano Moreno breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Macaubal's João Carlos Quintal got a free kick in the 40th minute. The supporters of Macaubal booed when Aramina FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edgard Figueiredo didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Marcel de Queirós had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 47 minutes into the match, Macaubal's goalkeeper Luís Fabiano Moreno had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cristiano Barbosa. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. João Carlos Quintal was the one to do the kick off. After some careless play in the Aramina FC defense, Luisinho Diniz kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Luiz Fernando Pitta. The Aramina FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Luiz Fernando Pitta should have stopped the shot. After having played for 58 minutes, João Carlos Quintal managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Macaubal's supporters crossed their fingers, but João Carlos Quintal was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. João Carlos Quintal might have been able to make a better finish in the 65th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Luiz Fernando Pitta. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. João Carlos Quintal ran back to his position shaking his head. If Marcel de Queirós had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Aramina FC getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Claudinei Tinoco hit a great ball. If Marcel de Queirós had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 76 minutes, Marcel de Queirós managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. João Carlos Quintal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luiz Fernando Pitta having to interfere. Marcel de Queirós recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Aramina FC's zone, João Carlos Quintal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luiz Fernando Pitta came out of the goal and João Carlos Quintal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 87 minutes into the match, Aramina FC's goalkeeper Luiz Fernando Pitta had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Marcel de Queirós. Luiz Fernando Pitta showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from João Carlos Quintal in the 88th minute of the match. Aramina FC's Luiz Fernando Pitta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Baltazar Martins in the 92nd minute of play. When the final whistle sounded Macaubal left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Aramina FC.
