Ronaldão Cosme made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Ronaldão Cosme showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tony Pombal in the 23rd minute of the match. In the 25th minute, Arlindo Barreto ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ronaldão Cosme was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Elias Dante charged in rather forcefully in the 28th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. In the 51st minute, Itaueira EC's Arlindo Barreto ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ronaldão Cosme. Ronaldão Cosme yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-3. When Carlos Amaral fell near the penalty area in the 61st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Arsenal das graças's protests and gave Carlos Amaral a yellow card for diving instead. Carlos Amaral hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. The supporters of Arsenal das graças booed when Itaueira EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Raúl Rocha didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 88 minutes, Jaime Melo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Arsenal das graças's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jaime Melo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Arsenal das graças booed when Itaueira EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dagoberto Guimarães didn't get a good kick on the ball. 94 minutes into the game, Acácio Fernandes cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-4. Roger Eger was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Itaueira EC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
