Felipe Vides took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fabrício Miranda, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 6 played minutes Axioma FC got a freekick which was hit by Claudinei Salgado. When Umberto Breckenfeld fell near the penalty area in the 8th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Axioma FC's protests and gave Umberto Breckenfeld a yellow card for diving instead. Umberto Breckenfeld kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. Duque de Caxias RJ's defense didn't have a chance, in the 19th minute, when Umberto Breckenfeld scored to the left of an out of position Christian Alcântara, making the score, 1-0. Umberto Breckenfeld kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. If Fabrício Miranda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Waldemar Tande received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Christian Alcântara came out and tried to block the shot, but Waldemar Tande slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 27th minute. Osvaldinho Freire received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Christian Alcântara tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Christian Alcântara took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Umberto Breckenfeld, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Christian Alcântara showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Waldemar Tande in the 41st minute of the match. After taking down the ball on Axioma FC's corner Perivaldo Paraibano fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Christian Alcântara quite easily take care of the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

Aílton Moraes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Felipe Vides read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 52nd minute of play. Christian Alcântara came out of the goal in the 62nd minute to try and stop a shot by Axioma FC's Waldemar Tande. But to his dismay, Waldemar Tande quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. 66 minutes into the match, Duque de Caxias RJ's goal looked a bit too open when Osvaldinho Freire came free, but Christian Alcântara reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 67th minute, Fabrício Miranda made a precise shot to the right of Felipe Vides. Axioma FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-1. In the 70th minute, Tiaguinho Messias hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Duque de Caxias RJ's Christian Alcântara played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Waldemar Tande in the 74th minute of play. Fabrício Miranda took the ball and in the 75 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Felipe Vides. Felipe Vides dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-2. Fabrício Miranda might have been able to make a better finish in the 81st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Felipe Vides. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Fabrício Miranda ran back to his position shaking his head. 4-3 became the score in the 82nd minute when Juninho Zanette elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Danilo Leal's late challenge caught a Axioma FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Danilo Leal helped the player get up and apologised. Tiaguinho Messias took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 94th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Christian Alcântara. Duque de Caxias RJ's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After 96 minutes, Juninho Zanette made it 5-4 with a short kick to the right side. Axioma FC's Felipe Vides tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Axioma FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
