Galhao's Geovani das Neves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Waldemar Tande in the 10th minute of play. Geovani das Neves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Waldemar Tande in the 11th minute of play. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Galhao's Cléberson Sena got a free kick in the 30th minute. Jerônimo Mazza could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 32nd minute of the match, but Geovani das Neves made a huge save. 40 minutes into the match, Galhao's goalkeeper Geovani das Neves had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Umberto Breckenfeld. The Galhao fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Geovani das Neves should have stopped the shot.
