Gil Reis might have been able to make a better finish in the 11th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Célio Nunes. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gil Reis ran back to his position shaking his head. Norberto Lago stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ronaldão Carioca's shot from short distance in the 16th minute. Norberto Lago made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ronaldão Carioca in the 19th minute of play. In the 22nd minute, Alexandre Paiva left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The A.C GALATASSARAY fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Ronaldão Carioca sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Célio Nunes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gil Reis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Doni de Alcântara fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Norberto Lago having to interfere. Ronaldão Carioca sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Ronaldão Carioca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The long shot by Zé Augusto Rodrigues in the 46th minute really tested Célio Nunes's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. After the first half Real Social FC were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

53 minutes into the match, A.C GALATASSARAY's goal looked a bit too open when Doni de Alcântara came free, but Norberto Lago reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Real Social FC getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Pedrão Quirino hit a great ball. 55 minutes into the match, A.C GALATASSARAY's Tales Azevedo broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Célio Nunes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alexandre Paiva in the 57th minute of play. Doni de Alcântara's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 58thth minute, Norberto Lago skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Ronaldão Carioca sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Doni de Alcântara got free with Norberto Lago in the 62nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 64th minute Ronaldão Carioca shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Norberto Lago saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 66 minutes into the game, Natã Quintal was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Real Social FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave A.C GALATASSARAY the free kick. Natã Quintal hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. In the 67th minute of the match Tales Azevedo sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Célio Nunes skillfully saved the ball. Norberto Lago made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ronaldão Carioca in the 69th minute of play. After some careless play in the Real Social FC defense, Gil Reis kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Célio Nunes. The Real Social FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Célio Nunes should have stopped the shot. In the 80th minute, Alexandre Paiva ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Célio Nunes was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-2. In the 85th match minute, Real Social FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Doni de Alcântara to maneuver through the defense. Ronaldão Carioca fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Norberto Lago having to interfere. When Real Social FC's Ronaldão Carioca in 92 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Norberto Lago guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. 93 minutes into the match, A.C GALATASSARAY's goal looked a bit too open when Ronaldão Carioca came free, but Norberto Lago reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
