Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Paulo José Cearense made the kick off which started today's match. 7 minutes into the game, one of VAGRADA:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Dedê de Azevedo hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. Jorge Araújo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from José Ribeiro in the 22nd minute of play. When Simão Prata came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the Maricota SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Simão Prata couldn't finish the play. In the 29th minute Paulo José Cearense shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jorge Araújo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Paulo José Cearense managed to get in a good position for a shot. Maricota SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Paulo José Cearense was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jorge Araújo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. José Ribeiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jorge Araújo having to interfere. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

After a defensive mix-up in VAGRADA's zone, José Ribeiro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jorge Araújo came out of the goal and José Ribeiro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 61 minutes into the match, VAGRADA's goal looked a bit too open when Paulo José Cearense came free, but Jorge Araújo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 64 minutes into the match, VAGRADA's goalkeeper Jorge Araújo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by José Ribeiro. José Ribeiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Jorge Araújo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. José Ribeiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jorge Araújo having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Dedê de Azevedo managed to get in a good position for a shot. VAGRADA's supporters rose to their feet, but Dedê de Azevedo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Frederico da Costa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. José Ribeiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Maricota SC booed when VAGRADA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dedê de Azevedo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jorge Araújo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paulo José Cearense, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
