In the 3rd minute Marcinho Abraão shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rodolfo Baiano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marcinho Abraão fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rodolfo Baiano having to interfere. Quingo AD's Rodolfo Baiano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Claudinho Salgado in the 18th minute of play. After 23 minutes of play, Jequitai's Claudinho Salgado made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rodolfo Baiano was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a rather tough play, Jequitai's Aílton Fernandes got a free kick in the 26th minute. Jequitai's Magno Reis couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 38th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Quingo AD. After some careless play in the Quingo AD defense, Claudinho Salgado kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rodolfo Baiano. The Quingo AD fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rodolfo Baiano should have stopped the shot. A collision led to Jequitai getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Flávio Ribeiro hit a great ball. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

53 minutes into the match, Christiano Peres notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of Jequitai's José Carlos Leme. José Carlos Leme was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Jequitai's Claudinho Salgado got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 71 minutes into the match, Jequitai's Claudinho Salgado sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rodolfo Baiano narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Claudinho Salgado's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rodolfo Baiano was relentless in the 76th minute of the game. Rodolfo Baiano was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Claudinho Salgado showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-4 in the 79 minute of play.
