Jonas Rodrigues was out of position in the 16 minute of play, and Geovanni Queiroz capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Geovanni Queiroz really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 19th minute, Dudu Linhares managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mombaca FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Dudu Linhares was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonas Rodrigues breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Dudu Linhares let the left foot speak when in front of goal in the 22nd minute shot 2-0 at rihgt post. João Francisco Catarinense lost his temper 25 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In the 27th minute the ball was on its way in behind Mombaca FC's goalkeeper Leonides Cutberto, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Leonides Cutberto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sílvio Luís Quintal in the 29th minute of the match. Mombaca FC's Leonides Cutberto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vivaldo Maia in the 30th minute of play. Frozinho's Jonas Rodrigues played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Geovanni Queiroz in the 32nd minute of play. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Geovanni Queiroz made a kick off. In the 53rd minute, Maximo Kirchner left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Mombaca FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. After a defensive mix-up in Frozinho's zone, Geovanni Queiroz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonas Rodrigues came out of the goal and Geovanni Queiroz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Geovanni Queiroz in the 66th minute of play forced Frozinho's goalkeeper Jonas Rodrigues to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 68th minute, Geovanni Queiroz ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonas Rodrigues was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-0. After a defensive mix-up in Frozinho's zone, Aquiles Beturian stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonas Rodrigues came out of the goal and Aquiles Beturian tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 76 minutes into the match, Maximo Kirchner notched a goal, 6-0, to the right of Frozinho's Jonas Rodrigues. Jonas Rodrigues was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 80thth minute of the game Geovanni Queiroz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Frozinho's Jonas Rodrigues was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Mombaca FC's Leonides Cutberto proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 81st minute of the match, managed to save Mombaca FC from getting a goal against them. 83 minutes had been played when some careless play by Mombaca FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Sebastião Netto was slow to take the kick. During this time Frozinho's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Sebastião Netto almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Mombaca FC's Leonides Cutberto did a great save. When Vitinho de Godoy came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Mombaca FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vitinho de Godoy couldn't finish the play. In the 89th minute, Dudu Linhares hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Leonides Cutberto was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Vivaldo Maia showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 6-1 in the 93 minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Mombaca FC had won after a very even match.
