Sílvio Luís Urbano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manuel Prado having to interfere. Eugênio Zanette struck a weak shot in the 14th minute. Juarês Catarinense didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cocal FC. 16 minutes into the match, Campinho's goal looked a bit too open when Eugênio Zanette came free, but Juarês Catarinense reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Valdemar Carioca took the ball and in the 21 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Juarês Catarinense. Juarês Catarinense dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. After having played for 28 minutes, Sílvio Luís Urbano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Campinho's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sílvio Luís Urbano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 29 minutes into the match, Cocal FC's goal looked a bit too open when Perivaldo Leal came free, but Manuel Prado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Eugênio Zanette blasted a shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Juarês Catarinense having to make a save. When Valdemar Carioca came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the Cocal FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Valdemar Carioca couldn't finish the play. Juarês Catarinense didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Hílton Tande went, in the 42nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. The Campinho players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Cocal FC were winning 1-2.

Sílvio Luís Urbano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Manuel Prado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Valdemar Carioca came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the Cocal FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Valdemar Carioca couldn't finish the play. If Eugênio Zanette had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 63 minutes into the match, Eugênio Zanette had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Juarês Catarinense. Campinho's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Eugênio Zanette was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. In the 68th minute, Perivaldo Leal made a precise shot to the right of Manuel Prado. Cocal FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-3. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Ronaldo Braga managed to get in a good position for a shot. Campinho's supporters rose to their feet, but Ronaldo Braga was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Manuel Prado breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Eugênio Zanette got free with Juarês Catarinense in the 74th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 76 minutes into the match, Cocal FC's Valdemar Carioca sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Juarês Catarinense narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Valdemar Carioca in the 79th minute of play forced Campinho's goalkeeper Juarês Catarinense to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cocal FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Valdemar Carioca was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Juarês Catarinense breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 94 played minutes Cocal FC got a freekick which was hit by Hílton Tande. In the 96thth minute of the game Sílvio Luís Urbano who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cocal FC's Manuel Prado was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The Campinho supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Cocal FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Cocal FC.
