Lods United's Eliseu Matorin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Celso Brodel in the 9th minute of play. The supporters of Congonhal booed when Lods United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Daniel Matorin didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 12th minute César Barreto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eliseu Matorin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eliseu Matorin made a fantastic save in the 12th minute, when Rodrigo Novaes sent off a good shot on target. 14 minutes into the match, Lods United's goal looked a bit too open when Celso Brodel came free, but Eliseu Matorin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anderson Peres in the 23rd minute of play forced Congonhal's goalkeeper Michel Meireles to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eliseu Matorin was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Celso Brodel showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 24 minute of play. In the 29th minute of the match, Benjamin Britto got a very nice opportunity to score, but Eliseu Matorin was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Michel Meireles took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Geovanni Carneiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 41 minutes into the match, Benjamin Britto had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Eliseu Matorin. Lods United's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Benjamin Britto was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. In the 44th minute, José Rocha reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Eliseu Matorin. The goal made the score 4-0. With an all-out effort, Congonhal's Eliseu Matorin threw himself towards the right post 47 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Celso Brodel, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Celso Brodel made a kick off. In the 51st minute, Anderson Peres got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Celso Brodel in the 55th minute of play forced Lods United's goalkeeper Eliseu Matorin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dieguinho Alvarenga kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. After 63 minutes of play, Lods United's Geovanni Carneiro made it 4-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Michel Meireles was left in no man's land by his defense there! Michel Meireles stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Anderson Peres's shot from short distance in the 67th minute. Luciano Azevedo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Michel Meireles tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Lods United booed when Congonhal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dadá Massa didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 77th minute, Breno Correia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Anderson Peres could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 79th minute of the match, but Michel Meireles made a huge save. Celso Brodel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eliseu Matorin having to interfere. Dieguinho Alvarenga's late challenge caught a Congonhal's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dieguinho Alvarenga helped the player get up and apologised. Dieguinho Alvarenga hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. The supporters of Lods United booed when Congonhal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Benjamin Britto didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Anderson Peres came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Lods United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Anderson Peres couldn't finish the play. César Barreto charged in rather forcefully in the 93rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed César Barreto the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Congonhal's César Barreto got a free kick in the 93rd minute. There was no doubt that Congonhal were the better team. Congonhal's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
