Bagre's Carlos Figueiredo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to save Bagre from getting a goal against them. A collision led to Bagre getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Ciro Vinhas hit a great ball. Carlos Figueiredo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Doriva Tepedino in the 24th minute of the match. In the 26th minute, Doriva Tepedino got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Doriva Tepedino in the 29th minute of play forced Bagre's goalkeeper Carlos Figueiredo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bagre's Carlos Figueiredo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Doriva Tepedino in the 32nd minute of play. Afonsinho Pereira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 47th minute Ciro Vinhas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dráuzio Negri saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

Norberto Lima's late challenge caught a Ruinha's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. In the 74th match minute, Bagre was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sílvio Luiz Penha to maneuver through the defense. In the 75th minute, Washington de Queirós sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Bagre's Carlos Figueiredo didn't even have to move. Doriva Tepedino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dráuzio Negri took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ciro Vinhas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Afonsinho Pereira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Carlos Figueiredo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Afonsinho Pereira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Doriva Tepedino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlos Figueiredo having to interfere. In the 93rd minute Doriva Tepedino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Figueiredo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Deivid Sarmento's late challenge caught a Bagre's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Deivid Sarmento helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Ruinha's Deivid Sarmento got a free kick in the 96th minute. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Ruinha had won after a very even match.
