When the match clock showed 20 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Sabino Marques sped through Cururu's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Eriberto Rodrigues. Hermínio Braga in the 25thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Dário Berger, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Aníbal Perez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Cururu's Inácio Tande got a free kick in the 28th minute. After having played for 28 minutes, Sabino Marques managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Alagacico EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sabino Marques was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After having played for 34 minutes, Hermínio Braga managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Alex Hoffmann recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 48th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

After having played for 57 minutes, Luisinho Duarte managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. After 59 played minutes Cururu got a freekick which was hit by Luisinho Duarte. Cururu's Eriberto Rodrigues played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sabino Marques in the 66th minute of play. In the 68thth minute of the game Luisinho Duarte who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Alagacico EC's Dário Berger was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Dário Berger showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luisinho Duarte in the 72nd minute of the match. Luisinho Duarte fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dário Berger having to interfere. Aníbal Perez charged in rather forcefully in the 75th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Aníbal Perez the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Cururu booed when Alagacico EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aníbal Perez didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dário Berger showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hermínio Braga, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. Alex Hoffmann sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 84 minutes into the game, Cururu's Hermínio Braga nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dário Berger made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. After 87 played minutes Alagacico EC got a freekick which was hit by Acácio Mandrak. Iuri França was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 88th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. In the 91st match minute, Cururu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Iuri França to maneuver through the defense. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
