The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 6th minute Wilton Félix shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sílvio Luiz do Valle saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Tiago Gabriel Paraibano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Duarte Alvarenga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Angelo Zanette fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sílvio Luiz do Valle having to interfere. In the 20th minute, Duarte Alvarenga got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Genílson Travassos didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Duarte Alvarenga went, in the 23rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Bullet Club's Genílson Travassos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Doriva Vieira in the 27th minute of play. Duarte Alvarenga recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Imperatriz's Doriva Vieira got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Genílson Travassos didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Duarte Alvarenga went, in the 31st minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Genílson Travassos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Doriva Vieira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 47 minutes into the match, Imperatriz's goal looked a bit too open when Wilton Félix came free, but Sílvio Luiz do Valle reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Duarte Alvarenga's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Genílson Travassos read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 56th minute of play. In the 58th match minute, Imperatriz was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eusébio Massa to maneuver through the defense. Imperatriz's Sílvio Luiz do Valle proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 63rd minute of the match, managed to save Imperatriz from getting a goal against them. After 63 played minutes Imperatriz got a freekick which was hit by Lúcio Porto. Genílson Travassos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Duarte Alvarenga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Doriva Vieira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Genílson Travassos having to interfere. Duarte Alvarenga struck a weak shot in the 83rd minute. Genílson Travassos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Imperatriz. The Imperatriz fans' excitement grew in the 86th match minute when Imperatriz's Duarte Alvarenga looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After 92 minutes, Beto Valle mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bullet Club and the Imperatriz players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 91st minute, one of Bullet Club:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Bullet Club. 95 minutes into the game, Imperatriz's Doriva Vieira nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Genílson Travassos made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Imperatriz had won after a very even match.
