Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Dário Coutinho took the kick off in the first half of the match. José Maria Chaves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 7 minutes into the match, Luís Queiroz had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Richard Sanches. Aroazes SS's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Luís Queiroz was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Richard Sanches took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from José Maria Chaves, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Juvenal Mendonça stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Francisco de Andrade's shot from short distance in the 14th minute. José Maria Chaves recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dário Coutinho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 22 minutes into the match, José Maria Chaves dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Richard Sanches, 2-0. Richard Sanches showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from José Maria Chaves, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. 32 minutes into the match, Moncao's goal looked a bit too open when Francisco de Andrade came free, but Juvenal Mendonça reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. José Maria Chaves's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Richard Sanches read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 33rd minute of play. Juvenal Mendonça took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dário Coutinho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luís Queiroz might have been able to make a better finish in the 37th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Richard Sanches. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Luís Queiroz ran back to his position shaking his head. The audience thought a goal was coming when Baltazar de Amorim got free with Richard Sanches in the 42nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 46 minutes into the game, Francisco de Andrade cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Juvenal Mendonça was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When Luís Queiroz came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Moncao fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luís Queiroz couldn't finish the play. If Luís Queiroz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luís Queiroz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 60th minute, José Maria Chaves managed to get in a good position for a shot. Moncao's supporters rose to their feet, but José Maria Chaves was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Richard Sanches breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Richard Sanches made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from José Maria Chaves in the 62nd minute of play. Luís Queiroz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 72 played minutes Aroazes SS got a freekick which was hit by Júlio Rosado. José Maria Chaves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Richard Sanches tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Juvenal Mendonça showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dário Coutinho, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. Luís Queiroz blasted a shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Richard Sanches having to make a save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Luís Queiroz in the 90th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Richard Sanches prevented the ball from getting in the gole. José Maria Chaves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Moncao walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
