The supporters of Golo Golo booed when Crominia AD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nicolas Mandrak didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alexandre da Silveira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 17th minute, Alexandre da Silveira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Túlio de Alcântara fell near the penalty area in the 18th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Golo Golo's protests and gave Túlio de Alcântara a yellow card for diving instead. Alexandre da Silveira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 27 minutes into the match, Alexandre da Silveira notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Golo Golo's Frank Meirelles. Frank Meirelles was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 30th minute, Washington Baptista hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 34th minute, Golo Golo's Tadeu do Valle ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Mathias Rezende. Mathias Rezende yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. João Francisco Mello was the one to do the kick off. Frank Meirelles showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from João Francisco Mello, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute.
