After 6 minutes, Tomás Peres mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the TOP™ - Cebolandia F.C and the Pão de açúcar coraçãozin players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to TOP™ - Cebolandia F.C getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Tomás Peres hit a great ball. In the 7th minute of the match, Téo Correia got a very nice opportunity to score, but Chiquinho Costa was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After 12 minutes of play, Pão de açúcar coraçãozin's Téo Correia made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Chiquinho Costa was left in no man's land by his defense there! The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Isaltino Hoffmann during the 17th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After having played for 22 minutes, Narciso de Mendonça managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pão de açúcar coraçãozin's supporters crossed their fingers, but Narciso de Mendonça was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Narciso de Mendonça blasted a shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Chiquinho Costa having to make a save. Sydney Favoretto hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. TOP™ - Cebolandia F.C's Chiquinho Costa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to save TOP™ - Cebolandia F.C from getting a goal against them. 33 minutes into the game, Mané Saldanha cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Anísio Maranhense was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Anísio Maranhense showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Doni Nóbrega, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. After having played for 39 minutes, Téo Correia managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Chiquinho Costa was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mané Saldanha to make the kick off. Valdomiro Pombal kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. Téo Correia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Chiquinho Costa having to interfere. Chiquinho Costa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Claudinho Freire, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. If Téo Correia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 62 minutes into the match, Mané Saldanha dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Anísio Maranhense, 2-2. Anísio Maranhense made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sydney Favoretto in the 66th minute of play. If Narciso de Mendonça had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Narciso de Mendonça sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sydney Favoretto hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. Valdomiro Pombal's late challenge caught a TOP™ - Cebolandia F.C's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Valdomiro Pombal helped the player get up and apologised. In the 76th minute, Valdomiro Pombal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, Pão de açúcar coraçãozin's Anísio Maranhense got control of the ball when Doni Nóbrega tried to sneak it across the goal line. With 79 minutes on the clock, Valdomiro Pombal commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. The supporters of TOP™ - Cebolandia F.C booed when Pão de açúcar coraçãozin was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Valdomiro Pombal didn't get a good kick on the ball. Anísio Maranhense made an important save on a dangerous shot by Doni Nóbrega in the 84th minute. Narciso de Mendonça received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Chiquinho Costa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Claudinho Freire had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Claudinho Freire scored 3-2 in the 94th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Chiquinho Costa, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When the referee ended the match the Pão de açúcar coraçãozin players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
