The crowd rose to their feet as Cauna's Raimundo Fontes slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Lucas Paraibano. That made the score 1-1 after 15 minutes of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Luiz Fabiano Barbosa in the 18th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Duarte Pirani saved Cauna from getting behind. Gomaticum's Lucas Paraibano proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 19th minute of the match, managed to save Gomaticum from getting a goal against them. If Luiz Fabiano Barbosa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Manuel Marinho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Duarte Pirani showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Délio Soares in the 40th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Raimundo Fontes's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Lucas Paraibano was relentless in the 59th minute of the game. Gomaticum's Luiz Fabiano Barbosa got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Duarte Pirani showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Délio Soares, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. Luiz Fabiano Barbosa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Duarte Pirani having to interfere. Gomaticum's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Cauna had won, even though Gomaticum had held more of the ball.
