Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Délio Soares to make the kick off. In the 55th minute Délio Soares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cipriano Monteiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gomaticum's Lucas Paraibano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luisão Macedo in the 57th minute of play. A collision led to Tibaji EC getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Kauã Paulista hit a great ball. In the 62nd minute, Júlio Perez fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Lucas Paraibano, passed just outside the right post. When the match had gone on for 67 minutes, Luiz Fabiano Barbosa put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Cipriano Monteiro. With a little luck, Gomaticum's Lucas Paraibano got control of the ball when Sérgio Mendes tried to sneak it across the goal line. Luiz Fabiano Barbosa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match clock showed 76 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Délio Soares sped through Tibaji EC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Cipriano Monteiro. Luiz Fabiano Barbosa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Cipriano Monteiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gomaticum's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
