Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Gil das Neves took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 10thth minute of the game Zé Roberto Donato who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Goiaz's Fausto Travassos was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 12th match minute, Goiaz was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Silas dos Santos to maneuver through the defense. In the 16th minute, Zé Roberto Donato left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Laenre sport clube fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Fausto Travassos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zé Roberto Donato, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. But to his dismay, Zé Roberto Donato quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. A collision led to Laenre sport clube getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Goiaz's Fausto Travassos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zé Roberto Donato in the 42nd minute of play. Fausto Travassos stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Zé Roberto Donato's shot from short distance in the 44th minute. 45 minutes into the match, Goiaz's goalkeeper Fausto Travassos had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gustavo Albuquerque. Samuel Coelho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Fausto Travassos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the match clock showed 79 minutes, the score became 5-0 when Zé Roberto Donato sped through Goiaz's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Fausto Travassos. In the 83rd match minute, Goiaz was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Américo Soares to maneuver through the defense. Goiaz's Fausto Travassos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zé Roberto Donato in the 86th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 87 minutes, Jorge Castro put it in 6-0 from a short distance just to the right of Fausto Travassos. The supporters of Goiaz booed when Laenre sport clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luiz Fabiano Pitta didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gustavo Albuquerque hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. 98 minutes into the match, Zé Roberto Donato had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Fausto Travassos. Goiaz's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Zé Roberto Donato was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 7-0. When the referee ended the match the Laenre sport clube players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
