Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Leonel Carioca started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. An unexpectedly hard shot by Flávio Marinho in the 9th minute of play forced Barreirao's goalkeeper Guilherme Guerra to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 15 minutes into the game, Barreirao's Albertinho Carioca nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Narciso de Lara made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. In the 24th minute of the match Ciro Tasso sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Guilherme Guerra skillfully saved the ball. 25 minutes into the match, Ancora's Flávio Marinho sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Guilherme Guerra narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Albertinho Carioca came free with the goalkeeper in the 27th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Narciso de Lara could save by the left post. In the 30th minute, Flávio Marinho made a precise shot to the right of Guilherme Guerra. Barreirao's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Ancora's Narciso de Lara played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leonel Carioca in the 33rd minute of play. In the 35th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ancora's goalkeeper Narciso de Lara, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Albertinho Carioca fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Narciso de Lara having to interfere. The supporters of Barreirao booed when Ancora was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ciro Tasso didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought it was a sure goal in the 42nd minute, when Barreirao's Rubens Gaúcho after having done a great run through the defense got himself free with Narciso de Lara in Ancora's goal and fired away a shot, but it missed the goal by a fraction of an inch. After 44 played minutes Ancora got a freekick which was hit by Jonathan Massa. Albertinho Carioca's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Narciso de Lara read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 48th minute of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Flávio Marinho was the one to do the kick off. Flávio Marinho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Flávio Marinho kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Guilherme Guerra. That made the score 1-2 in the 56 minute of play. 61 minutes into the game, one of Barreirao:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. If Murilo Leal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rubens Gaúcho took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 76th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Narciso de Lara. Ancora's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 77 minutes into the match, Albertinho Carioca notched a goal, 2-3, to the right of Ancora's Narciso de Lara. Narciso de Lara was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Barreirao's Guilherme Guerra proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 82nd minute of the match, managed to save Barreirao from getting a goal against them. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Flávio Marinho in the 83rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Guilherme Guerra saved Barreirao from getting behind. After 85 minutes, Leonel Carioca made it 3-3 with a short kick to the right side. Ancora's Narciso de Lara tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Ancora's Narciso de Lara played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Albertinho Carioca in the 90th minute of play. 90 minutes into the match, Albertinho Carioca had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Narciso de Lara. Ancora's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Albertinho Carioca was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-3. Leonel Carioca received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Narciso de Lara tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Albertinho Carioca in the 95th minute of play forced Ancora's goalkeeper Narciso de Lara to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Víktor Sabóia charged in rather forcefully in the 96th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Víktor Sabóia the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Víktor Sabóia hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. Barreirao's Leonel Carioca got a good chance for a goal in the 97th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. There was no doubt that Barreirao were the better team. Barreirao's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
