Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Ariranha AD's Cido Bastos started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The audience was convinced that Vítor Pontes's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Betinho Guimarães was relentless in the 3rd minute of the game. In the 5th match minute, Sapucai was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Remo Cruz to maneuver through the defense. Amadeu Senna showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rafinha Quintal, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. In the 9th minute Manfredo Pinho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amadeu Senna saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Amadeu Senna took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cido Bastos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Sapucai defense, Cido Bastos kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Amadeu Senna. The Sapucai fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Amadeu Senna should have stopped the shot. Amadeu Senna showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cido Bastos in the 15th minute of the match. Betinho Guimarães was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Vítor Pontes showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 17 minute of play. In the 23rd minute of the match, Anderson Schmidt got a very nice opportunity to score, but Betinho Guimarães was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Anderson Schmidt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Betinho Guimarães having to interfere. In the 32nd match minute, Ariranha AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Juarês Matos to maneuver through the defense. 33 minutes into the match, Sapucai's Fernandinho Moreno broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Amadeu Senna showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cido Bastos in the 34th minute of the match. When Aírton Seco fell near the penalty area in the 38th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sapucai's protests and gave Aírton Seco a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Sapucai's Aírton Seco got a free kick in the 39th minute. After 40 played minutes, Ariranha AD's Rafinha Quintal shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Amadeu Senna came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Ariranha AD reached it. Amadeu Senna showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cido Bastos in the 45th minute of the match. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

In the 51st minute, Remo Cruz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ariranha AD's Cido Bastos got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Ariranha AD's zone, Aírton Seco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Betinho Guimarães came out of the goal and Aírton Seco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vítor Pontes in the 57th minute of play forced Ariranha AD's goalkeeper Betinho Guimarães to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cido Bastos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Amadeu Senna tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Manfredo Pinho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 65th minute of the match, but Amadeu Senna made a huge save. In the 67thth minute of the game Cido Bastos who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sapucai's Amadeu Senna was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Anderson Schmidt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Betinho Guimarães tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 79 minutes into the game, Vítor Pontes cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Betinho Guimarães was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Cido Bastos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Manfredo Pinho hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. When Anderson Schmidt came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the Sapucai fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Anderson Schmidt couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vítor Pontes in the 98th minute of play forced Ariranha AD's goalkeeper Betinho Guimarães to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
