Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Dito Soares got the match started through his kick off. When Dito Soares came up free with the goalie in the 4th minute, the Botafogo MZRJ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dito Soares couldn't finish the play. 8 minutes into the match, Favorita SC's goal looked a bit too open when Falcão Martins came free, but Adhemar Tande reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 16th minute of the match, Duarte Paulista tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Eriberto Braga saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Diamantino Freitas during the 17th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Diamantino Freitas kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. Duarte Paulista hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. Adhemar Tande showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Falcão Martins in the 22nd minute of the match. Adhemar Tande showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dito Soares, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Eriberto Braga made a fantastic save in the 25th minute, when Dário Cosme sent off a good shot on target. In the 26th minute, Duarte Paulista fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dito Soares in the 30th minute of play forced Favorita SC's goalkeeper Adhemar Tande to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Duarte Paulista managed to get in a good position for a shot. Favorita SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Duarte Paulista was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eriberto Braga breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 39 minutes into the match, Favorita SC's goal looked a bit too open when Dito Soares came free, but Adhemar Tande reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 42nd minute, Filipe Miranda hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dário Cosme's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Eriberto Braga read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 44th minute of play. 46 minutes into the match, Favorita SC's goal looked a bit too open when Falcão Martins came free, but Adhemar Tande reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Dito Soares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

Duarte Paulista took the ball and in the 52 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Eriberto Braga. Eriberto Braga dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Dário Cosme charged in rather forcefully in the 57th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dário Cosme the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Dário Cosme kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. Adhemar Tande showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dito Soares in the 62nd minute of the match. Diamantino Freitas was shown his second yellow card after 64 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. The supporters of Botafogo MZRJ booed when Favorita SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Diamantino Freitas didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 68 minutes, Dário Cosme managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Favorita SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dário Cosme was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Falcão Martins struck a weak shot in the 72nd minute. Adhemar Tande didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Botafogo MZRJ. A collision led to Favorita SC getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Ronaldo da Silva hit a great ball. Eriberto Braga took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dário Cosme, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Favorita SC's Adhemar Tande played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Falcão Martins in the 80th minute of play. Falcão Martins struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Adhemar Tande didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Botafogo MZRJ. Dário Cosme recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dário Cosme fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eriberto Braga having to interfere. The Favorita SC players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
