After a defensive mix-up in SE Weiss's zone, Nestor Domingues stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Válter Mandrak came out of the goal and Nestor Domingues tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Nestor Domingues received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Válter Mandrak tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 12 minutes into the match, Icem's goal looked a bit too open when Gláuber Freitas came free, but Edu Fonseca reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 12 minutes into the match, Gláuber Freitas notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Icem's Edu Fonseca. Edu Fonseca was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Mazinho Paiva sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Icem's Mazinho Paiva got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 21 minutes into the match, Agnaldo Pontes notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Icem's Edu Fonseca. Edu Fonseca was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Nestor Domingues in the 24thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. After 27 minutes of play, SE Weiss's Agnaldo Pontes made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. In the 34th minute, Nestor Domingues reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Válter Mandrak. The goal made the score 1-3. Gláuber Freitas hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. Claudinho Maranhense received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Edu Fonseca tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Edu Fonseca made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Róbson Zanette in the 43rd minute of play. In the 45th minute Claudinho Maranhense shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edu Fonseca saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nestor Domingues sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Icem players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. SE Weiss were winning 1-3.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Róbson Zanette stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Agnaldo Pontes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 58th minute Róbson Zanette shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edu Fonseca saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nestor Domingues sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dedé Ribeiro during the 66th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In a very dangerous position, a player in SE Weiss fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 66th minute. Penalty! In the 67th minute there was a penalty for Icem. Carlos Alberto Gaspar stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Válter Mandrak. 2-3. One of Icem:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of SE Weiss:s goal. Claudinho Maranhenses short, quick shot in the 82ndth minute got Edu Fonseca to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Edu Fonseca showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Agnaldo Pontes in the 83rd minute of the match. 84 minutes had been played when some careless play by Icem's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Cauã Moreno was slow to take the kick. During this time SE Weiss's players had a chance to rest. After some careless play in the Icem defense, Gláuber Freitas kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Edu Fonseca. The Icem fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Edu Fonseca should have stopped the shot. Through an outstanding action, after 95 minutes, Edu Fonseca successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nestor Domingues in the 100th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Válter Mandrak prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Edu Fonseca showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Róbson Zanette, who was totally free with the ball in the 101st minute. The SE Weiss players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
