Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Caetano Gonçalves made the kick off and thus started the match. Franklin Cerezo charged in rather forcefully in the 13th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Franklin Cerezo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Dalmo Maciel took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 14th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Erasmo Cerezo. Brasil FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After 14 played minutes Brasil FC got a freekick which was hit by Luís Paulo Paes. Waldemar Vieira stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Claudinei Furtado's shot from short distance in the 21st minute. 23 minutes into the match, Brasil FC's goal looked a bit too open when Caetano Gonçalves came free, but Erasmo Cerezo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Brasil FC's Erasmo Cerezo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to save Brasil FC from getting a goal against them. Erasmo Cerezo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Caetano Gonçalves's shot from short distance in the 33rd minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Luís Paulo Paes during the 34th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Brasil FC getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Luís Paulo Paes hit a great ball. Dalmo Maciel was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 35th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. In the 40th match minute, Mont Serrat E.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edmundo de Mendonça to maneuver through the defense. After recieving a nice pass, Brasil FC's Simão Pernambucano tried to score from far away in the 41st minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Claudinei Furtado in the 43rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Waldemar Vieira saved Mont Serrat E.C from getting behind. Silvério Figueiredo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
The wind increased when Claudinei Furtado made the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Brasil FC's goal looked a bit too open when Oscar Paiva came free, but Erasmo Cerezo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mont Serrat E.C's Waldemar Vieira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Claudinei Furtado in the 54th minute of play. André Oliveira charged in rather forcefully in the 55th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed André Oliveira the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 55th minute, André Oliveira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With his leg Waldemar Vieira managed to avoid a goal in the 56thth minute, when Brasil FC's Silvério Figueiredo fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Pedro Paulo Borges took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 58th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Erasmo Cerezo. Brasil FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. André Oliveira was shown his second yellow card after 58 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 59th minute, André Oliveira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Mont Serrat E.C's zone, Claudinei Furtado stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Waldemar Vieira came out of the goal and Claudinei Furtado tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, Mont Serrat E.C's Waldemar Vieira got control of the ball when Silvério Figueiredo tried to sneak it across the goal line. After having played for 64 minutes, Claudinei Furtado managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Brasil FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Claudinei Furtado was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Claudinei Furtado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 69 played minutes Brasil FC got a freekick which was hit by Simão Pernambucano. 78 minutes into the game, Pedro Paulo Borges was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mont Serrat E.C's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Brasil FC the free kick. Waldemar Vieira had in the 79thth minute some difficulties stopping Simão Pernambucano's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. 79 minutes into the game, Simão Pernambucano cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Waldemar Vieira was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The audience was convinced that Caetano Gonçalves's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Erasmo Cerezo was relentless in the 84th minute of the game. In the 86th minute Claudinei Furtado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Waldemar Vieira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Oscar Paiva in the 92nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Erasmo Cerezo saved Brasil FC from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Silvério Figueiredo in the 96th minute of play forced Mont Serrat E.C's goalkeeper Waldemar Vieira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Caetano Gonçalves's late challenge caught a Brasil FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Caetano Gonçalves helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Mont Serrat E.C getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Caetano Gonçalves hit a great ball. In the 99th minute, Simão Pernambucano sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Mont Serrat E.C's Waldemar Vieira didn't even have to move. Brasil FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
