If Cauã Passos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 4 played minutes Soccorro got a freekick which was hit by Roberto de Amaral. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Edvaldo Félix in the 11th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sílvio Luís Tavares saved Marajazinho from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edvaldo Félix in the 13th minute of play forced Marajazinho's goalkeeper Sílvio Luís Tavares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 15th minute Wágner Senna shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sílvio Luís Tavares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sílvio Luís Tavares stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Edvaldo Félix's shot from short distance in the 21st minute. Sílvio Luís Tavares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edvaldo Félix, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Edvaldo Félix received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Sílvio Luís Tavares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Edvaldo Félix in the 26th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sílvio Luís Tavares saved Marajazinho from getting behind. A hard shot 30 in the game by Luís Fabiano Lima from a close distance when the talented Bebeto Tavares managed to make a qualified save. Soccorro's players were relieved. 34 minutes into the match, Edvaldo Félix had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Sílvio Luís Tavares. Marajazinho's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Edvaldo Félix was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Edvaldo Félix scored 0-2 in the 37th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Sílvio Luís Tavares, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 42 minutes into the match, Soccorro's goalkeeper Bebeto Tavares had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cauã Passos. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cauã Passos stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 58thth minute of the game Edvaldo Félix who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Marajazinho's Sílvio Luís Tavares was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Roberto Matos kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. Ezequiel Toledo kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. After 68 played minutes Soccorro got a freekick which was hit by Wágner Senna. Cauã Passos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Bebeto Tavares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Wágner Senna got free with Sílvio Luís Tavares in the 71st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a defensive mix-up in Soccorro's zone, Luís Fabiano Lima stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bebeto Tavares came out of the goal and Luís Fabiano Lima tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 84 minutes into the game, Wágner Senna recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Sílvio Luís Tavares. Wágner Senna showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-3. Manuel Neves's late challenge caught a Marajazinho's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Manuel Neves helped the player get up and apologised. Manuel Neves hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. Wágner Senna could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 90th minute of the match, but Sílvio Luís Tavares made a huge save. Ezequiel Toledo was shown his second yellow card after 90 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Sílvio Luís Tavares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edvaldo Félix, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ezequiel Bittencourts short, quick shot in the 96thth minute got Sílvio Luís Tavares to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Soccorro walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
