Fordlandia SC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Marajazinho the free kick. When the match clock showed 19 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Luís Fabiano Lima sped through Fordlandia SC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Pedro de Sena. Marajazinho's Sílvio Luís Tavares proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to save Marajazinho from getting a goal against them. After 48 minutes of play, Marajazinho's Cauã Passos made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Pedro de Sena was left in no man's land by his defense there! Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cauã Passos stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute, Ediberto Lucas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Marajazinho's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ediberto Lucas was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. Sílvio Luís Tavares came out of the goal and Ediberto Lucas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
