An unexpectedly hard shot by Roberto de Amaral in the 12th minute of play forced Fordlandia SC's goalkeeper Pedro de Sena to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Roberto de Amaral sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 19th match minute, Soccorro was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Chiquinho Nascimento to maneuver through the defense. When the match had gone on for 24 minutes, Ediberto Lucas took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Bebeto Tavares to make any attempt to save it. Soccorro's Roberto de Amaral got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 31 minutes into the game, Roberto de Amaral cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Pedro de Sena was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Pedro de Sena showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edvaldo Félix in the 35th minute of the match. 36 minutes into the match, Fordlandia SC's goal looked a bit too open when Edvaldo Félix came free, but Pedro de Sena reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Roberto de Amaral received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Pedro de Sena tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fordlandia SC's Pedro de Sena played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roberto de Amaral in the 44th minute of play. 46 minutes into the match, Fordlandia SC's goal looked a bit too open when Edvaldo Félix came free, but Pedro de Sena reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Horácio Mendonça fell near the penalty area in the 46th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Fordlandia SC's protests and gave Horácio Mendonça a yellow card for diving instead. After 46 played minutes Fordlandia SC got a freekick which was hit by Horácio Mendonça. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edvaldo Félix in the 47th minute of play forced Fordlandia SC's goalkeeper Pedro de Sena to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Doni Palmeira to make the kick off. Fordlandia SC were awarded a corner in the 53th minute after Soccorro's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Raúl Barral took the corner. Raúl Barral made a great header on Fordlandia SC's corner, it was just that Soccorro's Bebeto Tavares managed to reach the ball for a save. Pedro de Sena made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roberto de Amaral in the 55th minute of play. In the 60th minute, Roberto de Amaral ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Pedro de Sena was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. Roberto de Amaral sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 67 minutes into the match, Fordlandia SC's goalkeeper Pedro de Sena had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Edvaldo Félix. Soccorro's Chicão Pereira suffered a sprained foot after 67 minutes and couldn't finish the game. After 68 minutes of play Fordlandia SC's Horácio Mendonça was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Horácio Mendonça hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. In the 73rd minute, Roberto de Amaral fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Pedro de Sena, passed just outside the right post. Bebeto Tavares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ediberto Lucas, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. A collision led to Soccorro getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Roberto de Amaral hit a great ball. 78 minutes into the match, Fordlandia SC's goalkeeper Pedro de Sena had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Edvaldo Félix. Pedro de Sena made an important save on a dangerous shot by Edvaldo Félix in the 82nd minute. 84 minutes into the match, Edvaldo Félix notched a goal, 1-4, to the right of Fordlandia SC's Pedro de Sena. Pedro de Sena was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Though ot was a great shot Fordlandia SC's keeper Pedro de Sena was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. Soccorro played a much better game than Fordlandia SC and deserved their victory. The Fordlandia SC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
