Carlos Vianna charged in rather forcefully in the 6th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Carlos Vianna the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Carlos Vianna hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. Murilo Rosado recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 16th minute the ball was on its way in behind Máquina FC's goalkeeper Víktor Montenegro, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 19 minutes, Murilo Rosado mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Carinhanha AD and the Máquina FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Murilo Rosado hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. Natanael Bertassi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Víktor Montenegro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 24th minute of play. When Cristóvão Monteiro came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the Máquina FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristóvão Monteiro couldn't finish the play. Murilo Rosado was shown his second yellow card after 34 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. If Gláuber Barreto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Evaristo Abraão hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. Máquina FC's Bebeto Albuquerque couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 48th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Carinhanha AD. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. William Martins was the one to do the kick off. Gino Quadros took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from William Martins, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 55th minute, Nicolas do Vale hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Carinhanha AD getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Gláuber Barreto in the 65thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Víktor Montenegro, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 65th match minute, Máquina FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Remo Amorim to maneuver through the defense. Víktor Montenegro came out of the goal in the 69th minute to try and stop a shot by Carinhanha AD's Gláuber Barreto. But to his dismay, Gláuber Barreto quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. William Martins fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gino Quadros having to interfere. If Cristóvão Monteiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gláuber Barreto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Víktor Montenegro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Gláuber Barreto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The Máquina FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
