With an extended leg and a bit of luck Paulo José França prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Gonçalo Motta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Romário de Lima in the 16th minute of play. Beto Severo's late challenge caught a Mirapenima EC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. After 34 played minutes VECTRA FUTEBOL CLUBE got a freekick which was hit by Beto Severo. 35 minutes into the match, VECTRA FUTEBOL CLUBE's goal looked a bit too open when Donatello Sabóia came free, but Paulo José França reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gonçalo Motta came out of the goal in the 38th minute to try and stop a shot by VECTRA FUTEBOL CLUBE's Ruy Alcântara. But to his dismay, Ruy Alcântara quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Ruy Alcântara received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Romário de Lima to strike the kick off in the second half. Mirapenima EC's Mané Lima got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Paulo José França didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Donatello Sabóia went, in the 60th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score.
