Ibiahy FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Edgard Cearense was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 14th match minute, Mirapenima EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nildo Oliveira to maneuver through the defense. 19 minutes into the match, Mirapenima EC's goal looked a bit too open when Juan Correia came free, but Gonçalo Motta reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Juan Correia came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the Ibiahy FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Juan Correia couldn't finish the play. Edgard Cearense sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Donatello Sabóia in the 38th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bruninho Cearense prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Vágner Gaúcho hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. In the 47th minute, Mané Lima got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Juan Correia made a kick off. In the 53rd minute, Vágner Gaúcho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Bruninho Cearense showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Donatello Sabóia, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. The supporters of Mirapenima EC booed when Ibiahy FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. João Francisco Cerezo didn't get a good kick on the ball. 65 minutes into the match, Ibiahy FC's goal looked a bit too open when Donatello Sabóia came free, but Bruninho Cearense reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gonçalo Motta came out of the goal and Edgard Cearense tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 75 minutes into the match, Juan Correia had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gonçalo Motta. Mirapenima EC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Juan Correia was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. In the 79th minute, Juan Correia got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 86 minutes, Donatello Sabóia managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mirapenima EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Donatello Sabóia was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ibiahy FC's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
