The tension between the Arame EC and the Itahy players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Itahy booed when Arame EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gilmar Favoretto didn't get a good kick on the ball. Arame EC's Fernão Dracena got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Fernão Dracena received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Durval Medeiros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Chiquinho Amorim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Celso Miranda in the 20th minute of play. Germano Guerra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Durval Medeiros having to interfere. 23 minutes into the game, Noel Pires was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Itahy's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Arame EC the free kick. Noel Pires hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. Itahy's Durval Medeiros proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to save Itahy from getting a goal against them. After having played for 26 minutes, Celso Miranda managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Itahy's supporters crossed their fingers, but Celso Miranda was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Celso Miranda fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Chiquinho Amorim having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Fernão Dracena in the 41st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Durval Medeiros prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a defensive mix-up in Itahy's zone, Fernão Dracena stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Durval Medeiros came out of the goal and Fernão Dracena tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Itahy's Durval Medeiros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fernão Dracena in the 48th minute of play. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when André Luiz Almeida made the kick off in the second half. Fernão Dracena sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The audience was convinced that André Luiz Almeida's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Chiquinho Amorim was relentless in the 64th minute of the game. With a little luck, Arame EC's Chiquinho Amorim got control of the ball when Celso Miranda tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Celso Miranda got free with Chiquinho Amorim in the 85th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. André Luiz Almeida blasted a shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Chiquinho Amorim having to make a save. After having played for 91 minutes, André Luiz Almeida managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Itahy's supporters crossed their fingers, but André Luiz Almeida was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 93rd minute, Celso Miranda left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Itahy fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. The Itahy players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
