Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Celsinho Viana was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 6th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Carlos de Azevedo charged in rather forcefully in the 9th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Carlos de Azevedo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 9th minute, Carlos de Azevedo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Miguel Baptista in the 13th minute of play forced Jauari SS's goalkeeper Cícero Fontes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With his leg Cícero Fontes managed to avoid a goal in the 20thth minute, when Ypiranga de Santa Maria's Wesley Mangueira fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After a rather tough play, Jauari SS's Belmiro Damião got a free kick in the 20th minute. When Ypiranga de Santa Maria's Miguel Baptista in the 25th minute got a chance for a shot 25th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Jauari SS's goalie prevented a goal. In the 26th match minute, Ypiranga de Santa Maria was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wesley Mangueira to maneuver through the defense. In the 29th minute Belmiro Damião shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Albertinho Aguiar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Ypiranga de Santa Maria booed when Jauari SS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Belmiro Damião didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 36th minute of the match, Wesley Mangueira got a very nice opportunity to score, but Cícero Fontes was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Miguel Baptista struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Cícero Fontes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ypiranga de Santa Maria. Simão Dracena fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cícero Fontes having to interfere. Wesley Mangueira might have been able to make a better finish in the 44th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cícero Fontes. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Wesley Mangueira ran back to his position shaking his head. Miguel Baptista received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Cícero Fontes came out and tried to block the shot, but Miguel Baptista slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 44th minute.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Vivaldo Saldanha made a kick off. In the 52nd minute, Wesley Mangueira ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cícero Fontes was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. In the 57th minute, Juarês Saraiva hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 58th minute, Celsinho Viana sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Ypiranga de Santa Maria's Albertinho Aguiar didn't even have to move. In the 60th minute Vivaldo Saldanha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Albertinho Aguiar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cícero Fontes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wesley Mangueira in the 61st minute of play. Wesley Mangueira took the ball and in the 62 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Cícero Fontes. Cícero Fontes dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. In the 66th minute, Miguel Baptista got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Jauari SS getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Caetano da Fonseca hit a great ball. Simão Dracena sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cícero Fontes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ramón Guedes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 74 played minutes Jauari SS got a freekick which was hit by Róbson Monteiro. Wesley Mangueira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Miguel Baptista came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the Ypiranga de Santa Maria fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Miguel Baptista couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, Simão Dracena managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ypiranga de Santa Maria's supporters rose to their feet, but Simão Dracena was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cícero Fontes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Simão Dracena recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Jauari SS getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Róbson Monteiro hit a great ball. Frank Marques fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cícero Fontes having to interfere. Ypiranga de Santa Maria's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
