When Yuri Torres fell near the penalty area in the 3rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored sporting pilsen's protests and gave Yuri Torres a yellow card for diving instead. Cido Sarmento sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Emanuel Azevedo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Yuri Torres struck a weak shot in the 13th minute. Gilson Cordeiro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for sporting pilsen. In the 21stth minute of the game Cristian Guimarães who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but sporting pilsen's Edgard Leal was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Emanuel Azevedo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Edgard Leal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Guimarães in the 25th minute of the match. Gilson Cordeiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fiori Negri, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fiori Negri struck a weak shot in the 30th minute. Gilson Cordeiro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for sporting pilsen. Armando Abreu hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. Emanuel Azevedos short, quick shot in the 45thth minute got Edgard Leal to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Emanuel Azevedo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edgard Leal having to interfere.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cristian Guimarães made a kick off. When Caratianas's Cristian Guimarães in the 53rd minute got a chance for a shot 53rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye sporting pilsen's goalie prevented a goal. Edgard Leal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emanuel Azevedo in the 54th minute of play. Cristian Guimarães received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Edgard Leal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Armando Abreu hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. Edgard Leal came out of the goal in the 65th minute to try and stop a shot by Caratianas's Emanuel Azevedo. But to his dismay, Emanuel Azevedo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Edgard Leal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Guimarães, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 81 minutes into the match, Caratianas's goal looked a bit too open when Yuri Torres came free, but Gilson Cordeiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Emanuel Azevedo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 86 minutes into the match, Caratianas's Cristian Guimarães sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Edgard Leal narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Cristian Guimarães received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Edgard Leal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 93 minutes into the match, Cristian Guimarães notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of sporting pilsen's Edgard Leal. Edgard Leal was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The supporters of Caratianas booed when sporting pilsen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cauã de Souza didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cesinha Pinho missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 98 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Edgard Leal right hand side. For all the effort they put into the match, the sporting pilsen players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Caratianas.
