After a rather tough play, Sport Club Corinta Mineir's Tales Vides got a free kick in the 9th minute. If Geraldo Eger had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Lendas FC booed when Sport Club Corinta Mineir was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tales Vides didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sérgio Pena got free with Rony Viana in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Geraldo Eger might have been able to make a better finish in the 20th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rony Viana. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Geraldo Eger ran back to his position shaking his head. Augusto Lira took the ball and in the 22 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rony Viana. Rony Viana dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Chico Linhares during the 25th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 26th minute of the match Sérgio Pena sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Rony Viana skillfully saved the ball. In the 27th minute of the match Lendas FC got a corner. Sport Club Corinta Mineir's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Sérgio Pena ran over to the corner to take the kick. After a defensive mix-up in Sport Club Corinta Mineir's zone, Ruy Ceresso stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rony Viana came out of the goal and Ruy Ceresso tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 40 minutes into the match, Augusto Lira had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rony Viana. Sport Club Corinta Mineir's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Augusto Lira was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Augusto Lira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rony Viana having to interfere. In the 47th match minute, Sport Club Corinta Mineir was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Chico Linhares to maneuver through the defense. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dito Vaz was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd minute, Geraldo Eger made a precise shot to the right of Rony Viana. Sport Club Corinta Mineir's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. Augusto Lira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rony Viana having to interfere. After 60 played minutes Sport Club Corinta Mineir got a freekick which was hit by Luiz Paulo Bittencourt. Geraldo Eger sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ruy Ceresso struck a weak shot in the 64th minute. João Vítor dos Santos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dito Vaz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. João Vítor dos Santos made a fantastic save in the 87th minute, when Sílvio Luiz de Salles sent off a good shot on target. Ruy Ceresso's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rony Viana read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 88th minute of play. 89 minutes into the match, Lendas FC's Geraldo Eger sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rony Viana narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sérgio Pena in the 91st minute of play forced Sport Club Corinta Mineir's goalkeeper Rony Viana to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lendas FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
