Thiago Tavares might have been able to make a better finish in the 17th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Donato Guedes. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Thiago Tavares ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 23rd minute, Thiago Tavares got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Rogério Luz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cássio Schmidt kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. Thiago Tavares in the 35thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Donato Guedes, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Donato Guedes acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 38th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Tony Magalhães. With his leg Donato Guedes managed to avoid a goal in the 40thth minute, when Atletico Ilheense FC's Thiago Tavares fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After 40 played minutes Atlético PR got a freekick which was hit by Fausto Gaspar. Rogério Luz received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Donato Guedes came out and tried to block the shot, but Rogério Luz slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 46th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The wind increased when Hílton Monteiro made the kick off in the second half. Donato Guedes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rogério Luz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thiago Tavares sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Rogério Luz came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Atletico Ilheense FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rogério Luz couldn't finish the play. If Rogério Luz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 60th minute, Fausto Gaspar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 63 minutes, Thiago Tavares managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Atletico Ilheense FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Thiago Tavares was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Hílton Monteiro succeeded in the game's 68th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-1. 71 minutes into the match, Ramiro Lopez had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Washington Souza. Atletico Ilheense FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ramiro Lopez was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rogério Luz in the 75th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Donato Guedes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Donato Guedes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Thiago Tavares in the 76th minute of the match. After having played for 80 minutes, Rogério Luz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Atletico Ilheense FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rogério Luz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Donato Guedes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Thiago Tavares in the 82nd minute of play. Rogério Luz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Donato Guedes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 83rd minute of play. 85 minutes into the game, Atletico Ilheense FC's Rogério Luz nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Donato Guedes made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ramiro Lopez got free with Washington Souza in the 88th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Luisinho Marinho kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. Atlético PR's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Cássio Schmidt in the 94th minute. The corner led Atlético PR's Cássio Schmidt to fire away a dangerous shot which Washington Souza despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 96 minutes into the match, Atletico Ilheense FC's goal looked a bit too open when Hílton Monteiro came free, but Washington Souza reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
